Why it can't be copied
The work is the only one like it
This isn't a store that competes on price or convenience. It competes on the fact that the work cannot be replicated anywhere else. Forty years of making by hand, rooted in Philadelphia graffiti culture and Black cultural history. The apparel renders the names and hands of Philly graffiti legends. The furniture turns ordinary pieces into conversation pieces. The artifacts are collected history.
Kosher because the work is real. Misfit because in a field full of imitation, the real ones are outsiders.
The Misfits
He takes in artists other people wrote off
The founder brings in artists and creatives and teaches them to make a living from what they already know how to do. His students render the names of Philadelphia graffiti legends — and the original writers recognize their own hand in the work. He keeps an archive of everything the artists make.

See new work first
A behind-the-scenes look at work in progress. New one-of-one pieces get seen here first, because they sell and they don't come back.
